Hailey has in mind to learn Russian. Languages (Latin and German) come very easily for her so she wanted to branch out and really try to stretch. I admire that quality. Being a diligent mother and educational facilitator, I purchased the text she wanted. She has not jumped in with both feet as she has in the past with the other languages; she has barely dipped her toes in the cold Siberian water.
Today she erupted in frustration, "I knew Russian was impossible.
I know Russian is impossible, but I thought it was impossible for everyone else- not for ME."
Ah, humility.
I feel very humble, but I think I have the strength of character to fight it. ~ Bob Hope (To President Kennedy when he was being presented with a gold medal for 'services to his country'. )
