What Was Learned from Biting the Big Apple

  • Every single New Yorker we met was not only nice, but extremely friendly.
  • The Broadway show Mary Poppins is spectacular.
  • Cab drivers are insane and must have nerves, not of steel, but titanium.
  • Midtown Manhattan is super fun.
  • Times Square before 8pm is amazing, and after 8pm it is an overcrowded asylum.
  • There are enough M&M products to occupy 3 floors of a single store.
  • Every service worker in NYC expects a tip.
  • The Statue of Liberty is a wonder.
  • I can adapt to a surreal lifestyle much more quickly than I would have thought.
  • The space where the Trade Centers stood is sobering.
  • NYC deli's, bakeries and pizza places are an 11.
  • You can pay $4 for a 16oz. bottle of  Diet Coke.
  • Macy's is huge.
  • It would be preferable to visit Central Park when it's 75 degrees rather than 19.
  • Sitting in a theatre box seat makes you feel naughtily special.
  • Carnegie Hall is everything we could have imagined.
